360 castors and wheels are fully aware of problems in bakeries with racks that are noisy and the need of wheels to produce excellent running with very little noise but at the same time able to handle the harshest of extreme temperature ranges.

Hi-temperature wheels are needed most in the food processing industry and these unique wheels and casters allow for Operating Temperature Ranges of -40°C (-104°F) to +300C (+580°F).

Traditional wheels such as nylon and polyurethane do not work in hi-temp bakeries. Bakeries roll racks into ovens. Traditional hi-temp phenolic wheels survive about 220C- + 250C to intermittent temperatures (30 mins in/30 mins cool-off). The traditional wheels are hard and noisy when rolling on Hard concrete or tiled floors. The wheels if not fitted with a high temperature or lubricated bushes or bearings can eventually start squeaking. 360 castors and wheels can offer varying different solutions to these age-old problems by offering different types of wheel. Firstly we can offer for very extreme conditions a cast iron wheel which can carry very heavy loads without any degradation but the big disadvantage to this wheel is it can very quickly damage your floors. Secondly, we can offer a phenolic material which is the traditional choice of bakery rack manufacturers although a very good all round wheel which can be fitted with high-temperature bearings or bushes and gives good carrying capacity at high temperatures but material structure can break down. Thirdly we can offer Thermoplastic wheels which are made from special composite fibres to give greater resistance to breaking down and chipping whilst still giving high temperatures and carrying capacity. Lastly, 360 castors can offer a high-temperature rubber on an aluminium centre with shielded high-temperature ball bearing, the advantage of this wheel is it gives a quiet smooth running action whilst not marking or damaging good floor conditions, this wheel gives up to 100kg of carrying capacity and temperatures up to 250C.360 castors and wheels can offer all the wheel types generally from stock 80mm -200mm in all fitting types of Swivel, fixed and brakes (although we would highly recommend not using brakes with high-temperature wheel due to the possibility of damaging the wheel. )
